“The activities will range between exhibitions and workshops to large scale events with a variety of things to take part in.”

The launch is on Saturday 5th July at the Bulwell Academy where a Summer Family Fun Day will take place along with several artists who will be leading free drop-in sessions.

Other venues over the 10 days will be Bulwell Forest Garden, Riverside Library, Bulwell Market Place, Crabtree Community Centre, Ravensworth Road Church Hall, St Mary’s Church and Bulwell Hall Healthy Living Centre.

There will be an exhibition of local artists work in shop windows throughout Bulwell and one of the windows will feature the creative talents of Bulwell Guides’ groups and Hannah Walker.

“The festival is a great idea and wonderful way to introduce art to ordinary people which can be daunting,” said mum of three and art student, Hannah of Bannerman Road. “It’s also a great way to raise the profile of the town and its creative people.”
