Arrest made after woman taken to hospital with 'knife' injuries after an incident in Rainworth

A 38-year-old woman has been arrested and released under investigation after an incident in Rainworth which left two people in hospital.

Officers were called at around 11.40pm on Saturday, September 22, to reports of an incident in Kirklington Road, Rainworth.

A man and a woman were transported to Kings Mill Hospital.

A police spokesman said: "The woman had injuries thought to be sustained by a knife which are not thought to be life threatening.

"Officers have begun investigating the incident that appears to be a robbery and local residents can expect to see an increase in police activity while enquiries are made."
