Nottinghamshire Police said officers attended Sutton Road, Huthwaite, at about 2.30pm yesterday following a report of an affray.

A police helicopter was also deployed to help with the incident.

Residents reported hearing 'sirens going off' and a 'helicopter hovering in the air'.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: “Officers attended Sutton Road in Huthwaite at about 2.30pm on Thursday following a report of an affray.

“A 39-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray and our inquiries are ongoing. He remains in custody.”
