APPEAL: Thief forced elderly woman to the ground before stealing her car in Kirkby
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man stole an 80-year-old woman's car in Kirkby.
The man, who is described as white, in his late twenties and around 5ft 6ins tall, is said to have pushed the elderly woman to the ground as she left the Co-op in Chapel Street.
He then took the keys to her car and drove away.
The woman did not sustain serious injuries.
The incident happened at around 7.35am this morning (January 27) and officers are urging anyone who was in the area, or may have seen anything suspicious, to call 101, quoting incident number 182 of 27 January 2018.
