Appeal for young couple who helped Mansfield woman after fall to come forward

An appeal has been made by a Mansfield woman's family for the young couple who took her to hospital after a fall to come forward.

Thelma Rostazek, 79, fell on West Bank Avenue on May 26 which resulted in a damaged hip.

A young couple, who were on their way to meet friends, stopped their car to help her up, then took her shopping home before taking her to King’s Mill hospital.

The couple then stayed with Thelma in A&E until her son, Tony, came to meet her.

Thelma is now recovering from her ordeal, and wants to track down the couple so she can thank them.

Thelma’s brother, Benjamin said: “Thelma’s very active so she’s a bit frustrated about being in hospital. She really wanted to thank this young couple who took time out of their day to help her, even though it made them late to meet their friends.”

The family would like to offer their thanks to the couple, who are described as being in their twenties.

Are you the couple that helped, or do you know them?
