APPEAL: Find distraction thief in Kirkby
A man is distracting Kirkby shoppers asking for change and then stealing money from them.
A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: “On four occasions over the past three weeks, officers have received reports of a man asking for change in order to distract and steal money from members of the public.”
He is described as Eastern European, well dressed with dark hair. He is also said to speak little English.
Anyone who may have witnessed the scam is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident 272 of 9 December.
