Officers from British Transport Police (BTP) are launching a witness appeal following an assault and trespass incident.

At approximately 7.40pm on June 2, a man walked across the tracks between the two platforms at Mansfield Town station, so he could talk with a group of teenage girls.

After a short while, the man became aggressive and pushed one of the teenage girls. He continued his aggressive behaviour, screaming at other passengers who came to assist the girls.

Officers are mindful a number of people may have been subjected to this man’s aggressive behaviour and are urging them to get in touch as soon as possible.
