Appeal after cyclist injured in Mansfield town centre lorry collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was seriously injured when he was in collision with a lorry in Mansfield town centre.

At around 10am on Saturday 5th April a cyclist was in collision with a lorry, which is believed to have been delivering goods.

The injured man, aged 35, was air-lifted to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre following the incident in the pedestrianised area of Market Place.

The cyclist has since been stabilised in hospital. No one else was hurt.

A police spokesman said: “It was a busy morning, with people already out shopping in the vicinity.

“We would like to hear from people who were in the area at the time with any information that could help the investigation.”
