Town houses and apartments are to be built on land in Mansfield after planners gave an application the thumbs-up.
Fourteen dwellings are earmarked for a parcel of land between Quaker Way and Union Street.
A two-storey building currently occupies the site which houses a solicitors’ firm and a golf shop. It is thought both will relocate.
The properties will be a mix of two and three bedroom homes, with 14 parking spaces created, one for each home.
Nine members of Mansfield District Council’s voted in favour of the application, with one abstaining.
Coun Nick Bennett said: “I think it’s a fantastic block of flats and will be good to see a brownfield site being redeveloped.
“It’s been an eyesore for too many years.”
