Prior to submitting an outline planning application this Autumn, an exhibition is being held at Kirkby Library opposite Morrisons to introduce the scheme and seek feedback.

A spoesman for the company said:”The proposal seeks to create a unique and high quality residential scheme of 60 houses on the brownfield site, including 22 bungalows, a proportion of which could be specified for retirement housing. “The scheme is also one of a small number of developments participating in Nottinghamshire County Council’s Biodiversity Offsetting Pilot which will restore neighbouring grassland habitats, while improvements to the street scene along Southwell Lane, landscaping and better linkages to recreational areas are also planned.”

The exhibition will be held during library hours between 9am on Thursday 11th September until 6pm on Monday 15th September.

A series of presentation boards will be available for information showing the layout and key features and a comment form will be provided.

Alternatively residents can send P&DG an email at [email protected], quoting “Southwell Lane”.
