Advice and help at carers conference

Hucknall and Bulwell carers are invited to attend this year’s Carers’ Conference to be held in Kirkby.

The free event will focus on the forthcoming Care Bill which will introduce changes to social care funding and assessments.

Hosted by Healthwatch Nottinghamshire, the event will be held on 1st May at The Summit Centre between 10am – 3.30pm.

Healthwatch Nottinghamshire will support Carers to access the event by offering replacement care costs and help towards travel if needed.

The Care Bill, which will become law in April next year, includes new entitlements to Carer’s assessments, changes to the way people will pay for care and what will need to be paid for, including a new cap on lifetime care costs.

This free event will include workshops and the chance to put their questions and comments to an expert panel
