A1 closed all morning following serious incident near Blyth
Part of the A1 near Blyth will remain closed until later this morning following a 'serious incident'.
Earlier this morning the A1 was shut northbound between the A634 and A614/A1(M) and traffic diverted through the town.
The southbound section has reopened but the northbound carriageway remains closed while emergency services work to free a casualty.
The Highways Agency tweeted the incident at 8.57am.
