1. Chocolate

Chocolate contains caffeine and theobromine – two chemicals which affect the heart and nervous system of dogs.

2. Walnuts

Walnuts can contain a fungus poisonous to dogs which may even lead to death in severe cases.

3. Grapes and raisins

These can damage the kidneys of dogs.

4. Onions and garlic

These foods can damage the red blood cells in dogs.

5. Alcohol

Alcohol can lead to seizures in your pooches

This can make dogs seriously ill.

7. Macadamia nuts

These can seriously affect the nervous and muscle systems of dogs.

8. Avocados

These can cause heart damage to your pets.

9. Raw eggs

Excessive consumption of raw eggs by dogs can cause skin and hair problems.

10. Caffeine

If you spill coffee, clean it up before your dog can get to it. Caffeine can lead to seizures.

11. Small bones

Bones from fish and chicken can splinter into sharp shards and cause choking or damage the digestive system.
