There should also be a shorter walk option.

As always new members are most welcome and can enjoy a free coach ride on their first ramble.

We will begin by walking uphill to the amazing viewpoint at Ashover Rocks, also known as The Fabrick.

After absorbing these views we descend to the village of Littlemore and take a lovely woodland trail continuing south.

We then take care along a short section of B road but quickly move on to minor roads and paths to cross the River Amber just west of Dale Bank.

There is a historic village green here,at 13 acres it is the largest green in Derbyshire.

We move on to the next village of Wessington for a lunch stop and possible visit to the Horse and Jockey pub.

We then return to The Green, pass through Brackenfield again and by Sycamore Farm with more delightful enjoyable views including the ruins of Trinity Chapel. dating back to the 13th century.

The final short stretch of about a mile and a half takes us past unexpected delights, a stream, woods, beautiful gardens and the blue lagoon a legacy from quarrying days.

So finishing back in Ashover with its tall church spire and choice of refreshments.
