The new Royal Mint coin collection pays homage to Hargreaves’ brilliant designs, and includes numerous different coins - some of which are in colour - perfect for those feeling nostalgic for the beloved Mr Men and Little Miss characters.

The Royal Mint website explains that the “Mr. Men Little Miss characters have become some of the most instantly recognisable in the world.

“Featured in more than 90 books, as well as starring in films and TV series, their adventures have been translated into 17 different languages and followed by millions of fans.”

Which characters feature on the coins?

The six coins have been designed by Roger Hargreaves’ son, Adam, and feature the popular characters of Mr Happy, Mr Strong, Little Miss Sunshine and Little Miss Giggles.
