Deposit boost for first-time buyers

WITH mortgage lenders starting to ease their lending criteria, Persimmon Homes North Midlands is urging potential first-time buyers who have just 50 per cent of a five per cent deposit to start looking forward to a new home.

The leading housebuilder, which is committed to helping first-time buyers in Nottinghamshire to make that move onto the property ladder, is offering potential homebuyers the opportunity to reserve their brand new home ahead of having the complete deposit.

All they have to do is show that they have 50 per cent of the deposit already and have a savings plan in place to reach their ultimate goal.

Available on selected homes across Nottinghamshire, those keen to make a move, could be moving sooner than they think, all thanks to their commitment to save and Persimmon’s support.

Mariana Knight, sales and marketing director at Persimmon Homes North Midlands, said: “Sometimes when you’re saving for a home, it seems a long way off and it helps to have a goal in mind, the property that you’ve dreamed of waiting there just for you to move in to.

“We are committed to helping potential homebuyers make that first move onto a property ladder and have a host of homebuying options which are designed to give that support, especially when it comes to a deposit.

“With the new Government-backed FirstBuy scheme available on selected homes on our developments, together with our own Helping Hand shared equity scheme, there really is no better time to take that first step.
