The global debut of Vauxhall’s game-changing new supermini will be at the Paris Motor Show, the company has revealed.
Offering more customisation possibilities than any Vauxhall before it, the Adam also breaks Vauxhall’s long-standing tradition to end the car’s name with a letter other than ‘A’.
The pictures released so far show a great-looking car, with styling cues reminiscent of larger prestige cars and confident proportions.
Vauxhall is expecting its massive personalisation potential to be its biggest pull.
Special interactive computer stations will be set up to allow the show’s visitors to build their own Adam and explore the myriad combinations.
Three initial trim levels will be available. First is the trendy and colourful Jam, then the elegant and sophisticated Glam, and finally Slam for buyers wanting a racier, sportier look.
From launch, the Adam will be offered with a choice of three efficient EcoFlex four-cylinder petrol engines: a 1.2-litre with 69bhp and two 1.4-litre engines with 86bhp and 99bhp.
All will be available with optional engine stop-start technology and will use a five-speed manual gearbox.
