Former Sutton auction house goes under the hammer

A Sutton building which use to be used for auctions has gone up for sale itself.

Formerly C.B.Sheppard & Son, you can snap up the auction house on Chatsworth Street for £77k.

And, John Sankey, who are marketing the property said that subject to planning, the property “offers great potential” and is suitable for redevelopment.

A spokesman for John Sankey said: “These detached premises have been used as an auction gallery for many years but are now vacant and offers great potential.

“There is a large auction room together with rear storage space, a kitchen and a rear entrance area.

“Externally there is a rear yard/garden and outside toilets.

“The premises could be suitable for storage or even redevelopment subject to planning consent.”

There is however no power connected to the property and it “needs some improvements”.

The premises has a floor area of approximately 1687 square feet.
