The inclusive Nottinghamshire club night that is making lots of people smile

These pictures show how an inclusive Nottinghamshire club night for people with learning difficulties is making lots of people smile.

TenFifty at Andwhynot on Leeming Street, Mansfield is an inclusive night out for people with learning disabilities, where they get to experience socialising in a safe, fun, club environment.

In its fifth year, the event is getting bigger than ever.

Jimmy Power, who organises TenFifty alongside Tracy Radford says: “It came about through my community work with people with special educational needs.

“We realised mainstream club nights can be quite overwhelming, and wanted to create somewhere they can have a proper night out, without feeling vulnerable and uncomfortable.

“We launched the first event in 2016 and it has grown since then.

“We have different themes each month, and create a real party atmosphere for everyone to get up, dance and have a great time.”

They club nights are usually held on the first Monday of every month.

They have a team of volunteers who help party-goers to have a good time, whilst staying safe.

With themes ranging from silent disco, nineties nights and ‘songs from the movies’, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

They have big plans for more events in 2020 to give revellers more variety and keep things interesting.
