The restaurant at Sherwood Oaks Business Park, on Oak Leaf Close, welcomed its first customers this morning (Wednesday).

Bosses say its opening follows ‘significant investment’ from franchisee Jacqui Moore – who already employs more than 450 people at her five restaurants across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, including the West Gate branch in Mansfield town centre.

For now, the new burger outlet will operate as a takeaway and drive-thru only – with dine-in paused due to Covid-19 restrictions.

“My team and I are excited to be safely opening a brand-new McDonald’s restaurant in Mansfield,” said Jacqui.

"We’re looking forward to seeing our customers enjoy our services on offer, including takeaway and drive-thru.

"We’d also like to thank our customers in advance for their support and patience as we navigate and adapt to new, evolving restrictions and different ways of working.”
