Pubs were judged on the quality of beer and cider, service, welcome, décor, cleanliness, and value for money.

The popular pub boasts ten regularly-changing real ales, six craft beers and six ciders and beat off competition from four other highly-acclaimed pubs.

The quirky pub is located at the end of a disused railway line and has a mock station in the beer garden.

Owner Oliver Brown, who runs the Everards pub with partner Jo Hultum, said: "We can’t believe it but we can officially announce that we have won-Nottinghamshire CAMRA Pub of the Year 2026.

“A huge thank you to all at CAMRA and those who took the time to judge us.

“A special thanks to Newark CAMRA, Everards Brewery and to all our customers for all your support over the years.

“Finally, our Whistle Team! Thank you so much for all your hard work, care and commitment to the pub. We can’t thank you enough, what a team.”
