The ‘Gyrosaur’ which was also designed with older families in mind, marks the latest addition to the theme park at Rother Valley, which opened in July.

Riders travel upside down on the ride, which spins 360 degrees and can hold up to eight people under current physical distancing guidelines.

Managing director of Gulliver’s Valley Theme Park Resorts Julie Dalton said: “We are so excited to have our new Gyrosaur ride in place here at Rother Valley.

“It’s a bigger ride for those with older children who are looking for a thrill and so far, the feedback has been fantastic.”

Tickets for the multi-million-pound resort have been sold out on many days over the summer, with only limited entry available.

Following recent changes to the government’s lockdown easing advice, the park has opened some attractions inside its indoor Dragon’s Lair area – which features ten climbing walls, caving and a giant inflatable bounce course.

Julie added: “We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all their support.

"We are a family business who has put absolutely everything into this new resort, so to have the backing of our customers, who really are at the heart of everything we do, has been so important to us.

"This is just the beginning for Gulliver’s Valley and there are lots more exciting things to come.”

Gulliver’s Valley houses more than 30 rides and attractions and offers Unicorn and Princess Suites alongside Western Cabins and Lost World Lodges as part of its accommodation options.

Advanced booking is mandatory through pre-approved slots and customers have their temperature checked on arrival to the park which is fitted with social distancing measures and a food pre-ordering system.

All guests over the age of three-years-old are also required to wear face coverings on rides to limit the spread of Covid-19 and the theme park is operating at limited capacity to ensure social distancing.
