Rally car nostalgia on indoor racetrack
TOP Gear Live’s new indoor track will play host to an array of Group B Rally cars - including the Peugeot 205 T16, Audi Quattro, Lancia 037 and MG Metro 6R4 - in a series of ear-busting head-to-head battles.
During the 1980s, these cars competed in the World Rally Championship, and within four years the Group B specimens were banned.
Top Gear Live will see these incredible cars take centre stage at the NEC Birmingham (November 11-13) and ExCel London (November 24-27) as part of the planned 80-minute track display alongside their illustrious forebears such as the 1964 Mini-Cooper S, 1970s icons the Renault Alpine A110, Fiat 131 Abarth and Ford Escort RS1800 - plus the incredible Ferrari 308 GTB rally special. Also joining them will be some of the descendants of the Group B era.
