We are heading back to 1980 – the year of the Post-It note and the Rubik’s Cube – to see what Sutton-in-Ashfield was like.

We have trawled the archives to find pictures of people and places in Sutton from 40 years ago.

From school closures to marching bands, and pubs of days gone by, our gallery should feature some familiar faces.

Have a look through and see who you can spot.
