Of course, we couldn’t create a list featuring everyone who is famous for living under the shadow of the railway viaduct – but here are some people you know, and some you may be surprised to know, who have lived or worked in our great town.
1. Wes Dolan

2. Kris Commons
The Mansfield-born retired footballer made his career debut with Stoke City in 2000, he then played at Nottingham Forest, Derby, and Celtic in Scotland. 3. Stephen Critchlow
Stephen, born 16 November 1966, is a British actor notable for his work in the theatre and appearances on radio series such as Truly, Madly, Bletchley, The Way We Live Right Now and Spats, along with radio episodes of Torchwood and Doctor Who and is currently appearing in the West End version of The 39 Steps. 4. Rebecca Adlington
30-year-old Rebecca was born in Mansfield in 1989 and won two gold medals at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the 400-metre freestyle and 800-metre freestyle.
