Former guest and staff member at Sherwood Forest Center Parcs test positive for coronavirus

A former guest and a member of staff at Sherwood Forest Center Parcs have tested positive for coronavirus.

The BBC reports that the holiday company has confirmed both have now left the Sherwood Forest village and are in isolation.

The site is still open to guests, but terms and conditions around rescheduling holidays have been relaxed.

A spokesperson said: "We have been doing, and continue to do, everything we can to protect our guests and staff, including a rigorous cleaning regime and closely monitoring and following government guidelines."

A statement on the company’s website said: We are aware of the latest government announcement this evening and we are considering what this means for Center Parcs.

“We will update our website by 5pm Tuesday March 17 with the latest information.

“We will also contact any guests directly should they be impacted by any changes.

“All our five UK villages remain open for the break commencing March 16.”
