Coronavius case confirmed in North East Derbyshire

The case is the fifth in Derbyshire, with two cases confirmed in the High Peak and one in Erewash.

Public Health England do not disclose the exact area where the case is, but say close contacts will be given advice about symptoms and emergency contact details to use if they become unwell in the 14 days after contact with the confirmed cases.

If you have not been been contacted by Public Health England, the say you do not need to take any action at this time.

If you do show symptoms of the virus – a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath, or think you have been in contact with someone who does have the virus, you can use the NHS 111 service – do not visit your GP or pharmacist.
