Weekly coronavirus map shows no local Covid-19 outbreak in Mansfield and Ashfield

There has been no local outbreak of coronavirus cases in Mansfield and Ashfield according to the latest figures produced by Public Health England.

Data from the interactive map shows the number of confirmed positive cases of Covid-19 between July 13 to July 19, which were reported to Public Health England by July 22.

The latest figures show that no neighbourhoods in Mansfield and Ashfield have a high number of coronavirus cases and therefore the risk of a local outbreak is low.

All wards within the towns are said to have a maximum of two cases if any, compared to data reported last week which identified three positive Covid-19 cases in Kirkby.

The map shows there are six confirmed coronavirus cases in Edwinstowe and Clipstone in Sherwood Forest, which neighbours Mansfield.

In Leicester, where local lockdown restrictions are starting to be eased, the city has recorded 276 new Covid-19 cases in the seven days to July 17.
