Two more people die in Nottinghamshire as England announces 665 more coronavirus victims

Two more people at Sherwood Forest Hospitals have died after testing positive for COVID-19, latest NHS figures show.

This brings the number of deaths at the trust to 76, with 888 cases confirmed.

Sherwood Forest Hospitals runs King’s Mill Hospital, in Sutton, and Mansfield Community Hospital.

Patients who died were aged between 26 and 102 years old. 26 of the 665 patients (aged between 48 and 95 years old) had no known underlying health condition.

Across England a further 665 people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 16,272.

In the UK there have been 17,337 reported deaths.

The death toll for England and the UK is expected to be much higher than official figures as deaths in care homes and elsewhere in the community are not included in the daily updates.
