The two coronavirus testing centres are based at Oak Tree Leisure Centre on Jubilee Way and the One Call Football Stadium on Quarry Lane have been set up for Mansfield residents to get tested regularly, after studies showed as many as one in three could have the virus without displaying symptoms.
The sites are for those without coronavirus symptoms and use lateral flow tests, with results usually available within an hour, via text message and email.

Hide AdArriving at the test centre, everything was clearly signposted and I was given a registration card. You can either sign up by scanning the QR code, or for those without a smartphone, one of the site coordinators can assist in getting your registration completed.
Once inside, you are directed to a booth which is sanitised between tests, and you are given instructions on how to take your own swabs by a helper.
The whole test process itself took around two minutes, and I had my results within ten minutes of returning home.
You are advised to get tested twice a week if you are able, to try and help drive down infection rates in the town.
