Three further deaths of patients who tested positive for Covid-19 at Sherwood Forest Hospitals

Three further patients have died at Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust after testing positive for coronavirus.

There have now been a total of 69 recorded deaths at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Trust – which runs King’s Mill Hospital, in Sutton, Mansfield Community Hospital and Newark Hospital – according to figures released by NHS England.

The three patients sadly died on April 15.

Nationally, a further 738 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 13,134.

Patients were aged between 32 and 101 years old, and 30 of the 738 patients (aged between 34 and 92 years old) had no known underlying health condition.

Elsewhere, Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals, which covers Worksop, have recorded 51 deaths from coronavirus to date, while at Nottingham University Hospitals, which runs the Queen’s Medical Centre and Nottingham City Hospital, a total of 126 deaths from Covid-19 have been reported.
