From tomorrow, Monday June 15, people will be required to wear face-coverings when visiting King’s Mill Hospital in Sutton and Mansfield Community Hospital.

It’s after Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which run the hospitals, updated their visiting rules to make face coverings mandatory for all visitors and outpatients.

The new rules, which come into effect tomorrow, hope to slow the spread of coronavirus as people infected with Covid-19 can experience very mild or no respiratory symptoms and consequently transmit the virus to others without being aware.

No visitors are currently allowed in any of the Trust’s hospitals unless you are a parent who needs to accompany children, a birthing partner, carer, or relative of someone in end of life care.

Hospital staff urge people to bring a face covering with them before they visit.
