Mansfield was well-known over the years for being a bustling market town, but as the third lockdown was announced this week, we found an eerily quiet town centre with very few shoppers.
There has been much talk of people breaking the rules and ignoring restrictions, however it would seem, for now at least, people of the town are respecting the new rules enforced by the government.
Mansfield’s marketplace is usually busy with shoppers and teenagers, but today it was empty.
Many business owners will be eagerly awaiting the end of the pandemic so they can begin rebuilding their businesses – with these pictures, it’s easy to see why.
