Beth Colclough realised that elderly and vulnerable people in Seslton would be struggling when strict lockdown measures were announced on Monday (March 23).
Wanting to do whatever she could to help, Beth made a post on Facebook to see if anyone else would be willing to volunteer their time to help the community.

Beth said: “It’s nice to see people coming together to help. We want to offer a bit of reassurance that even if you don’t need us right now, someone will be there to help you if you do.
“It must be so frightening to have to stay in, and be vulnerable. We want to do what we can to help.”
At the moment, around 17 volunteers make up the Selston Virus Team, and they are happy to help in any way they can, from popping to the shops to providing emergency house repairs.
