Aerial images show huge queues of shoppers waiting to get into a B&Q store in Sutton-in-Ashfield - just yards away from a NHS hospital treating coronavirus patients. The click and collect services have allowed customers to purchase goods while maintaining social distancing practices.

The news regarding the DIY retailer opening its doors across 70 branches has been met with mixed views. One shopper said: “With the nice weather, we are trying to do what we can in the garden so I thought I'd pick up a few plants and shrubs.

"Everyone was following the rules inside, so I can't see any problem with it."

A motorist passing by, said: “I think its outrageous they are putting profit before lives as I don't think they sell anything that can really be deemed essential."
