Meanwhile, NHS England announced that a further 552 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals nationwide to 19,301.

Patients were aged between 31 and 99 years old. 38 of the 552 patients (aged between 36 and 99 years old) had no known underlying health condition.

Death tolls are expected to be higher than official figures as deaths in care homes and elsewhere in the community are not included in the daily updates.
