Across England a further 514 people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 16,786.

In the UK as a whole, there have now been almost 19,000 reported deaths.

However, the death toll for England and the UK is expected to be much higher than official figures as deaths in care homes and elsewhere in the community are not included in the daily updates.
