No more Covid-19 deaths reported at Sherwood Forest Hospitals

Hospitals in Mansfield have had a day without reporting the death of any Covid-19 patient, new figures show.

According to the latest statistics released by NHS England, the Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs King’s Mill Hospital and Mansfield Community Hospital, have today reported no further fatalities.

The total number of patients who have died in the care of the trust after contracting coronavirus stands at 104.

Nationally, the death toll in English hospitals stands at 22,764 after 332 more patients died.

The youngest victim was a six-week-old baby with underlying health problems, NHS England said, and the oldest victim was 103.

22 of the 332 patients, aged between 40 and 96 years old, had no known underlying health conditions.

There have been 109 confirmed cases of the virus in Mansfield and 1,196 across Nottinghamshire.
