According to the most recent data released yesterday from NHS England, the death toll across the Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust now stands at 276.

The trust runs Newark Hospital, Mansfield Community Hospital and King's Mill Hospital in Sutton.

This comes the day after just one new death was reported on December 27.

A further 318 people, who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 48,860.

The patients were aged between 38 and 100 years old.

All except 13, aged 64 to 92 years old, had known underlying health conditions.

The date of the deaths range from 13 to 27 December 2020.

The families of those who died have been informed.
