Mobile Covid tests held at Mansfield Town football club car park from today

A mobile unit for community asymptomatic tests will be available at the One Call Stadum, off Quarry Lane, from this week until the end of June on Mondays, from 10am to 4.30pm, Wednesdays, between 10am-4.30pm and Fridays, 10am-4.30pm.

Health chiefs say the lateral flow rapid tests identify people who have Covid-19 but do not show any symptoms.

Mansfield District Council is also encouraging businesses in the town to test employees regularly, especially those with public contact.

Participants are asked to have a once a week test, ideally twice a week, for up to six weeks.

On its website, it says: “We are encouraging businesses to ensure workforces join the programme to help stop the spread. People can have free COVID-19 rapid tests at one of our testing centres or by ordering them online to do at home.”
