Mums are becoming worried that baby formula, nappies and wipes are hard to come by, but people are offering to trawl shops on their behalf so tiny babies can stay at home away from crowds.

Immunity-compromised residents are scared to leave their homes, so companies are offering free contact-less deliveries to help them while unable to shop themselves.

With most supermarkets having no home delivery slots left during March, small businesses are stepping up and providing a vital service during the coming weeks, and they are issuing a reminder that they need your support to stay afloat, should they be forced to close in the near future.

Terry’s at Ladbyrook in Mansfield said: “To all our elderly and disabled customers, if you need any shopping desperately and do not feel like you can go out, please ring the shop on 01623 486575 and we can arrange delivery for your shopping – we will do everything we can to help you.”

Mansfield, Nottinghamshire Coronavirus (Covid-19) Mutual Aid group’ was set up by councillor Sonya Ward, they are offering to help residents who are unable to get out to the shops themselves.

Warsop and surrounding area support group’ was set up by Kay Chant and Paula Lofley, offering to source hard-to-get items for vulnerable residents.

The Allotment Box on Church Street in Warsop also offer a delivery service for local homegrown produce, and have offered to make free deliveries to elderly people who are unable to shop for themselves with no minimum spend. Katy can be contacted on 07496182478.

Daymon Sibblies, who runs the Bap Mobile food van in Wickes car park in Sutton, is offering free food for those in need.

Dave Straw & Son Family butchers on Market Street in Shirebrook are also offering free delivery to residents over the coming weeks by calling the shop on 01623 742598.
