But there are various home jobs that simply can’t wait until the three-week review of the measures currently in place.

So here’s how you can pick up essential repair items:

How can I buy items from B&Q?

While all stores closed on Tuesday, March 24, and remain closed for browsing and purchasing, bosses originally announced that the DIY chain would continue to operate via its click and collect.

However this service is ‘temporarily unavailable’ and customers are now only able to purchase items for home delivery.

After a two-day full closure, DIY.com is now open for customers to purchase items.

The range will be limited and only home repair and maintenance essentials will be able to purchase for home delivery.

Graham Bell, CEO of B&Q, said: “We have been working hard to create a service that focuses on providing essential products for repair and maintenance of the home. This means we can keep supplies open and give our customers the best possible service to ensure their homes are safe, warm and in working order.”

How long will the store be closed for?

B&Q’s Mansfield and Sutton store will be remain closed for the foreseeable future as the company says the safety of customers and colleagues remain their top priority.

Mr Bell added: “The range will be limited for our Home Delivery service to ensure we do everything we can to limit unnecessary purchases and ensure our customers and colleagues are protected from needless contact.

“We are working on our Home Delivery service to enable us to provide a fuller product range.”
