A law firm with bases in Mansfield and Ashfield is offering free legal advise to residents over the phone two evenings a week.

Fidler and Pepper, which has bases on Queen’s Street and Regent Street, in Mansfield, and Low Street, Sutton, has extended its working times so that members of the public can call for free legal advice on Tuesday and Thursday evenings between 5pm and 7pm.

The company's award-winning Private Client department, which looks after wills, probate matters, and powers of attorney, is working in line with Government guidelines and is still providing legal services.Most staff are working from home and all staff are using video calls, emails and phone calls to speak to clients.

The new phone-In clinics, using the dedicated numbers 01623 448 344 and 01623 448 322, are available between 5pm and 7pm on Tuesday and Thursdays and people will be able to receive free legal advice.

Last week, it was announced that the company will donate £10 to the NHS for every new will organised until the end of June.Richard Howard, one of Fidler & Pepper’s directors, who heads up the private client department, said: “In difficult times, when pressures and worries are felt even more so, we have to be flexible and continue providing an important service.“That’s why we have introduced the free phone-in clinics and it’s also why we will donate £10 to the NHS for every Will we write from now until the end of June 2020.”For more information about why Wills are important to have, visit www.fidler.co.uk.
