This is how many people have now died after being diagnosed with Covid-19 at Sherwood Forest Hospitals

A total of 95 people have now died at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Trust, with a total of 13 fatalities recorded in the past week.

According to the latest figures issued by NHS England, there were two deaths recorded on Wednesday, April 29, at the trust – which runs King’s Mill Hospital, in Sutton and Mansfield Community Hospital.

One death was recorded on April 28, three on April 27, two on April 26, three on April 25, and two on April 24. There were no recorded deaths yesterday (Thursday, April 30).

In England, a further 352 people, who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals to 20,483.

Patients were aged between 30 and 103 years old. 18 of the 352 patients (aged between 43 and 98 years old) had no known underlying health condition.

Their families have been informed.

Across the Midlands there were 54 more coronavirus-related deaths, including a further three at Nottingham University Hospitals, bringing the total at the trust – which runs The Queen’s Medical Centre and Nottingham City Hospital – to 203.

Across the United Kingdom there have now been 26,771 deaths in hospitals and 171,253 recorded cases – with 11,368 cases recorded in the Midlands.

Worldwide there have now been 235,577 deaths in hospitals – including more than 64,000 in the USA, 24,376 in France, 27,967 in Italy and 24,824 in Spain. Germany, by comparison has seen just 6,632 deaths, and 3,223 in Canada.
