Here's what's happened to house prices in Mansfield and Ashfield since coronavirus lockdown started in March

New figures show house prices in Mansfield have increased since the coronavirus lockdown was imposed in March.

But home owners in Ashfield have seen the value of their properties fall over the same period.

The average Mansfield house price in March was £141,395, an increase of 0.6 per cent, while in Ashfield, the average price was £142,943, a decrease of 2.1 per cent.

Since lockdown began, owners of detached houses in Mansfield have seen the the value of their properties rise by 0.8 per cent to £201,603 on average.

Owners of semi-detached and terraced houses and flats also saw the price of their properties increase.

In Ashfield, owners of detached, semi-detached and terraced houses also saw an increase in the value of their properties.

But flat owners have seen the value of their properties fall by 2.6 per cent.

First-time buyers in Mansfield spent an average of £​124,700 on their property – ​a rise of £5,900 – while in Ashfield, the average price for first-time buyers has risen £3,200 to £127,000.
