Extra six patients confirmed to have died from Covid-19 in Mansfield hospitals

The latest figures from NHS England have revealed a further six patients have passed away from the virus while being cared for in Mansfield hospitals.

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust reported the most recent fatalities between 4pm on November 17 to 4pm on November 18.

The Trust which runs Mansfield Community Hospital, King’s Mill Hospital in Sutton and Newark Hospital, now has a total of 183 patients that have died from Covid-19 while in their care.

Across England, a further 346 people have passed away after testing positive for coronavirus while being cared for in hospitals across the country.

This brings the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England up to 37,470 since the crisis started.

Patients were aged between 35 and 102 years old and all except 9 had known underlying health conditions.

The people were confirmed to have died from October 19 to November 18, with the majority of fatalities being on or after November 16.
