England to enter tougher three-tier restrictions once lockdown ends on December 2
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
The ‘strengthened’ system will be in place to ensure that some of the restrictions in place during the full national lockdown will be maintained, however some of the rules will be the same as the pre-lockdown system.
Boris Johnson has not yet confirmed the details of the arrangements, and is believed to be finalising the rules in cabinet meetings today (Sunday November 22).

Hide AdThe Prime Minister will confirm the new plan in an announcement tomorrow.
He is expected to say that he knows the measures are difficult. He plans to will make it clear that the restrictions are not to last any longer than is necessary and the need to support the economy will also be taken into consideration.
Number 10 has also said that more areas are expected to be in the highest tier in the new system, however has not given any information as to where they may be thinking of.
It is thought that the tight restrictions are being put in place in order to allow for a planned ‘relaxation’ period between December 22 and 28.

Hide AdCiting sources within the Government, The Telegraph reported that the ‘winter plan’ could be announced as soon as Monday.
This would reportedly see families able to mix indoors over the Christmas week, with several families allowed to join one ‘bubble’.
It has also been reported that under the new restrictions pubs would be allowed to open past the 10pm curfew that was imposed before the second lockdown.
