Covid-19 death toll remains static at Sherwood Forest Hospitals

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s Covid-19 death toll has remained static for over a week as there have been no more reported virus deaths within its hospitals.

The Trust which runs King’s Mill Hospital, Mansfield Community Hospital and Newark Hospital have reported a total of 124 people died in their care after they contracted coronavirus.

NHS England’s latest statistics revealed this afternoon (Thursday, July 9) show that there have been a further 22 Covid-19 fatalities in hospitals across England in the last 24 hour reporting period.

This brings the total number of lives lost to the disease while being treated in the country’s hospitals up to 28,991.Patients who died were aged between 53 and 94 years old and one person is said to have had no known underlying health conditions.
