"The council has no desire to see further restrictions or controls on people's lives and businesses but unless we all work together to help reduce the number of cases, then Mansfield risks heading the same way as other parts of Britain that are already facing extra measures."It's hands, face, space – keep Mansfield safe, all the way.”

The council continues to work closely with Nottinghamshire County Council’s director of public health to inform and warn the public.

It is also encouraging people to wash their hands frequently, wear a face covering in shops and other public spaces and to stick to the Government's new ‘rule of six’ on social distancing. The full extent of the new rules and the exemptions can be found here.
