Coronavirus: Mansfield deaths remain static as no new fatalities reported in hospitals

No more patients have died from Covid-19 while being treated in hospitals in or near Mansfield, in the last 24 hour reporting period, NHS England have said.

NHS England confirmed this afternoon, (Wednesday, July 15) that there have been no further coronavirus deaths in Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust which runs Mansfield Community Hospital, King’s Mill Hospital and Newark Hospital.

In total, 124 patients have died after contracting the disease while being cared for by hospitals within the trust, since the virus first broke out.

Across England another 22 people are confirmed to have died from Covid-19 in the country’s hospitals within the most recent reporting period.

This brings the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England up to 29,125, according to NHS England’s most recent figures.People who died were aged between 54 and 93 years old and all patients had known underlying health conditions..
